"Too long... too long have I waited in the town of Wolverineton. Has it been three years? For three years I have been content to wait my time, watching as the land around me has been taken, watching as my anger for the land, and the orcs which befoul it, only grows. Content to make coin fighting for the entertainment of others, and content to spill my own blood for that coin. Well, not any longer. I'm going to leave. My knowledge of the woods, of the roads, of the land will be useful to anyone. I must make my stand now." It had been three years since he had stumbled into town. Stumbled upon town, rather, would be more accurate. Raised in a village in the Regency, he had fled into the woods with his father after returning from a hunting trip to find his village overrun. His mother and his two sisters, Emma and Anne, had never been seen since. Knowledgeable in the ways of the woods, he and his father had been content to harass the invaders from afar. But then three years ago, his father took ill, and one morning, Lorrick woke up alone. He buried his father, planted a tree over his grave, and then began to wander. For a week, he lived off the land, and then he stumbled into Wolverineton, unsure of how to make his way. For the last three years, he had drank, brawled, and dreamed of home. He had honed his anger, and refined his thoughts on the future. Now, he wanted to do something. The time was right, and a call had been made. He would answer.
